Help Us Create New Housing Solutions

Pam Blanton : September 11, 2015 4:16 pm : Blogs
Community Homes and Partners4Housing are doing great work together to help families develop community-based living opportunities for individuals with disabilities.  Community Homes, a non-profit agency, owns and manages 7 Adult Family Homes, serving 35 residents.  This year Community Homes expanded their housing services to include a new model called “Shared Living”.  They formalized their commitment to this model by hiring Pam Blanton as Director of Shared Living in May.  To date, they have supported 8 families in the creation of 4 Shared Living homes.  Two more homes are under development, bringing the 2015 total to 14 newly housed individuals in Shared Living.
Pam also continues to lead Partners4Housing, which specializes in roommate matching and providing consulting services.  Partners4Housing currently has 100 people in their roommate matching pool.  Together, Partners4Housing and Community Homes are creating new opportunities for individuals with disabilities to experience independent living.
Community Homes NEEDS YOUR HELP to build the organizational capacity necessary to support their expanding housing services.  We invite you to join us at the annual Community Homes fundraising gala to help us continue the important work of expanding community-based living opportunities for adults with disabilities.

Saturday, October 10, 5:30 to 10 p.m.  Redmond Marriott Town Center
If you are unable to attend the Gala, but would like to support Community Homes’ efforts to create housing solutions for people with disabilities, contact Helene Wentink at 425-442-1268 or helene@community-homes.org.  For more information contact Pam Blanton at pam@partners4housing.com or by phone at 206-383-4209.
